During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Glenn and Vicki were on the search for a business venture that could truly give back to the community and help people in need.
Glenn always consulted small businesses but wanted to work on the other side of the desk. As the COVID-19 Pandemic began to hit, he realised just how much he didn’t want to go into yet another corporate job but rather, build something he could call his own while being able to have a positive impact in his local community.
Vicki had always run small businesses, she lived and breathed the entrepreneurial life. Vicki was ready for her next adventure looking to not only build a business but be able to scale it and help as many people as she possibly could.
When the pair found Nurse Next Door, the brand’s core purpose of Making Lives Better resonated, deeply, within themselves and within 30 minutes both Glenn and Vicki knew that this was the right path to take.

One of the key things that caught Glenn and Vicki’s eye when they found Nurse Next Door was the vibrant Bold Pink Branding. The pair could easily see how their Nurse Next Door franchise would be able to stand out against competitors who at times have a more sterile representation in the market.
As a brand, Nurse Next Door wanted to do home care differently and become a disruptor in the market, challenging the status quo around home care and celebrating people regardless of their age or ability.

Ongoing Training & Support
Neither Glenn nor Vicki had a clinical background and at the beginning weren’t sure whether they could even pursue a business in home care. The benefit of Nurse Next Door was that having a background in health care is not a requirement.
While Franchise Partners will need Registered Nurses and qualified Caregivers to provide that quality care for clients, the Franchise Partners themselves do not need to be a nurse or any other healthcare professional and with Nurse Next Door’s robust training and ongoing support, Glenn and Vicki knew they were being set up for success!
