It has been an incredible year for Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Australia. Since 2019, we have seen the system grow exponentially as we start to transition into 2023!
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the year that has been, one of our biggest years yet, and share how far Franchise Development at Nurse Next Door Australia has come in the last 12 months.
A Year of Evolution & Growth
2022 has been a year of transition and evolution as we move into a post-pandemic world, with it bringing a host of uncertainties, including rising inflation rates, increased stress on the healthcare industry, and a realisation for many that they are not feeling fulfilled in their careers.
Fortunately, with these challenges, there also comes with it new opportunities, which is precisely what’s driving innovation and growth at Nurse Next Door Australia through top-tier initiatives to help our Franchise Partners grow scalable and sustainable businesses.
As more and more people realise there is a growing need for home care services to alleviate the pressure on hospitals and healthcare staff, franchising in the home healthcare industry is here to stay!
With several Franchise Partners in 2022, reaching double-digit growth, and even more new Franchise Partners joining Nurse Next Door Australia than ever before, we look forward to seeing what the future holds!
We are excited to see how much growth our Franchise Partners have experienced, just like Matt Woosnam from South Brisbane:
Making More Lives Better
With over 16% of Australia’s population over the age of 65 and 18% of Australians living with a disability, means that the demand for home care services is also drastically increasing and paving the way for new Franchise Partners who are eager to start a home care business with heart, purpose, passion, possibility and growth opportunities.
When the year began Nurse Next Door Australia had 23 active locations grew by 13 new locations at the end of 2022 including:
- Ryde
- Caboolture
- Scenic Rim Logan
- Fraser Coast
- Melbourne West
- Newcastle
- Gippsland
- Mornington
- Melbourne North
- Perth North
We are seeing the excitement and quick success of some of our newest franchise partners, especially as we expanded into more regional areas, which has been gratifying to witness, to say the least:
I never knew how good it would feel to be a business owner that makes difference in people’s lives. Everything that Nurse Next Door gave me meant that I has one less thing I had to think about because it was there. The things I’ve learned have been incredible and the support team always go above and beyond.” – Fiona Johnstone Franchise Partner (Nurse Next Door Brisbane)
This is a true testament to Nurse Next Door’s well-established systems, processes, and operations, which have been refined for over two decades in North America and adapted to the Australian market.
With so much growth around the nation and entering new markets such as Perth and Sydney has also meant that Nurse Next Door has been able to deliver over 400,000 hours of care to people in need as we continue to make a difference in our local communities and in the lives of our clients, just like Vaso:
Innovation Through Frontline to Franchisee Program
Our Frontline to Franchise Program continued to spark inspiration amongst frontline workers, specifically Registered Nurses, to become thriving Franchise Partners through the help of additional support such as reduced franchise fees and specialised training.
“Frontline workers understand the nature of this business better than almost anyone. They have the passion, the work ethic, first-hand experience, and the value alignment to our brand.” – Matt Fitton, COO of Nurse Next Door Australia
Initially, nurses, caregivers and other frontline workers reached out to Nurse Next Door Australia and North America as they wanted to make the bold leap to becoming home care franchise owners.
HeartQuarters realised this trend and believed that it would likely continue which, is why Frontline to Franchisee was developed – a program to better support caregivers, nurses, and other frontline workers to become successful Franchise Partners at Nurse Next Door Home Care Sevices
Nurse Next Door wants to continue to support our frontline workers who want to take that leap to become a Franchise Partner but may need a little extra support on the way.
Leaping Franchise Development into 2023
2023 comes with a surge of ageing baby boomers, changes to how the Government will fund Home Care Packages, closures of many residential aged care centres and some economic uncertainties, yet with this, there are many opportunities to excel through intentional investments.
Our Bold Goal for 2023 is to continue fostering our Franchise Partners and growing those who are looking to transition into a new career in a recession-resilient industry. The first three months of the year will see 7 new Franchise Partners opening their hearts around Australia including:
- Sunshine Coast
- Macarthur (SW Sydney)
- Mosman
- Townsville
- Mackay
- Bundaberg
- Ballarat
Already, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in Franchise Partners year over year, and we are confident that we will be able to bring on even more Franchise Partners who, with grit, tenacity, and passion, can also build a business with success while also Making a Difference in their local community.
While our Franchise Partners continue to work hard, we at Nurse Next Door HeartQuarters Australia will also continue to do what we do best:
- Help support our Franchise Partners to excel in their business,
- Find purpose in their work,
- And facilitate the ability to meet the growing demand for care
Now let’s end 2022 with a bang and start 2023 with that same impact by taking strides towards Making Lives Better.
With a core purpose of Making Lives Better, Nurse Next Door, under the leadership of Melbourne-based Master Franchisors Matt Fitton and Amber Biesse, provides in-home aged care and disability support services built on our philosophy of Happier Ageing® focusing on possibility rather than disability.
